Make Life Better By Working Out -- At ANY Age!

Fitness - April 3, 2024

“I’m too old to workout!”

Just today, I witnessed 4 people in their 80s plank for anywhere between 1:20 and 2:16.

We train people in their 80s and even 90s who have come back from things like cancer, hip replacement, and a broken femur to continue to make progress on their health and fitness goals.

You aren’t too old to workout. No one is. You might be intimidated by the gym, afraid of who might train you, fearful of getting hurt, but you’re never too old. Especially if you’re in your 60s. That’s YOUNG. That’s an incredible time to start on your fitness journey.

Improving your health through exercise can help prevent osteoporosis, diabetes, or heart disease. It can improve your balance and decrease your risk of falling. It can improve your mood and cognitive function. It will make you stronger. Most of all, it just extend your life and make that life BETTER.

Your fears of exercise are valid. Many gyms aren’t equipped for seniors, many trainers don’t understand the population. But start with a daily walk even before you join a gym. Then learn more about facilities and trainers with experience working with an older population.

Exercise, when done right, will only help make you younger. I hope you find what’s best for you!
